My 7 month old baby wants to keep rolling over on her tummy at night. I have her wrapped and put wedges there to stop her from rolling. Can she sleep on her tummy now?

Around this age, infants become more active and learn to roll around the cot.

It is important to have a firm, well – fitting mattress that is in the flat position.

Keep the sleeping space safe by ensuring the infant’s face will not be covered during sleep. (i.e. avoid bumpers, pillows, soft toys, lamb’s wool and doonas)

Put your infant into the cot on his/her back, then allow them to find a comfortable position for sleep.

It is not necessary to move your infant during the night as this will disturb their natural sleep rhythms.
