Overview
Each year Tresillian assists close to 80,000 families with young children across New South Wales. We pride ourselves on offering a caring and personalised service to parents in the early years as we help them gain confidence in their own parenting abilities.
Tresillian works with other agencies and health professionals such as Child and Family Health Centres and General Practitioners, who refer families to a particular Tresillian service. Our Residential services are covered by Medicare or private insurance, however parents pay a small fee for accommodation and meals. The Day Stay and Outreach services are free of charge.
Tresillian has the following services for families with a young child:
Tresillian Parent's Help Line - call a Registered Nurse with Child and Family Health qualifications for advice.
Outreach - our Child and Family Health Professionals can visit you in your own home.
Day Stay - parents can visit with their baby for the day and work through concerns they have, with the help of Tresillian’s Child and Family Health professionals.
Residential Care – If you’ve tried other services and your problem with baby persists, you may be referred to one of our three Residential units where families can live-in for up to five days.
Guthrie Child Care Centre situated at Wollstonecraft, is Tresillian’s Long Day Care Centre catering for up to 40 children aged up to five years.
Occasional Care Service based at Wollstonecraft provides a short-term child minding service for parents with babies aged up to 14 months.
Ultimately, Tresillian is really about the education of parents and other health professionals in child and family health.
